Zanu-PF activist, businessman and avowed supporter of former Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Energy Mutodi has said that President Robert Mugabe must be killed if he refuses to resign. Writing on Facebook, Mutodi said:
Now that SADC has said Mugabe must be reinstated I urging the Zimbabwe Defence Forces to kill him urgently in order to avoid any hope for his family dynasty. Zuma is a criminal and no one must take him seriously. He likes money and it is clear that he has been given money by Mugabe to support him.
We as Zimbabweans we are saying we don’t want Mugabe anymore to be our President, even in ZANU PF, he is not wanted. Mugabe has always manipulated party structures to endorse him as party leader and he has never faced an intra-party election. Mugabe is a tyrant. He must go as a matter of urgency. I don’t like to see him anymore as a head of state. I am disappointed with his rule. He must go now!
Mutodi was expelled from Zanu-PF after he had posted a number of Facebook posts in which he had suggested that a coup was likely if Mugabe did not choose his successor wisely.
He was also arrested after Defence Minister Sydney Sekeramayi reported him to ZRP Law and Order for a Facebook post that alleged that Sekeramayi and David Parirenyatwa were responsible for poisoning Emmerson Mnangagwa.
