
Zimbabwe-born, Kildare-raised singer-songwriter Shiv has released her new single, Letting You Know. We asked her the BIG questions . . .
It’s the third song to be taken from her debut EP Me 2 Me, out December 4th, and speaking about the new single, she said, “It’s about the moment I finally realised that holding onto whatever was inside me wasn’t helping, that in releasing my deepest self and being comfortable with what that meant, I could finally let go of the fear that had embedded itself in my relationship with myself and my creative process.”
Tell us three things about yourself?

I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 9 (16 years), I have a degree in psychology, and I’m double-jointed in my shoulders.
How would you describe your music?
Emotion-filled escapism.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Lianne La Havas, Pip Millett, Frank Ocean.
How did you occupy yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?
I was living with friends at the time, so we did a lot of cooking together, some drinking on the sunny days in the garden, and a whoooole lot of Netflix.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Masterpiece – SAULT.
