HARARE – Political actors have been urged to embrace diverse media views under the new political dispensation to create an enabling environment for all pillars of democracy.
Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Victor Matemadanda according to State media said Zimbabwe is opening a new leaf, hence the need for cooperation between political players and the media for the nation to progress.
Delivering his keynote address during the Zanu PF inter-district conference for Bulawayo Province, Matemadanda emphasised that the spirit of political tolerance promotes national interests in the media.
Zimbabwean media has been viewed as polarised and not objective enough such that the progress of national programmes is oftenly compromised.
