GOVERNMENT expects to launch its new National Development Strategy (NDS) next month, finance and economic development minister Professor Mthuli Ncube has said.
A successor economic blueprint to the Transitional Stabilisation Programme (TSP), the NDS is expected to lay the foundation for sustainable and shared economic growth in line with Vision 2030.
“We will be officially launching the National Development Strategy next month as government moves to stabilise the macro-economy and attain upper-middle-income economic status by 2030 which is also in tandem with President Mnangagwa’s vision.
“The coming of the first NDS marks the end of the TSP with the second 5-year NDS expected to be rolled out between2026-2030,” Prof Ncube said in an interview with the ZBC.
The first five-year NDC will run from 2021 to 2025 replacing the Transitional Stabilisation Programme (TSP), a two-year economic blueprint which ends this December.
