HARARE – The embattled Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to be at Uganda’s  57th Independence celebrations to be held in Sirocco district, Uganda.

The Independence celebrations are set to be run under the theme “Consolidation of National Unity, Security, Freedom and Prosperity”.

“The president of Uganda  will be the chief guest and he has invited another special guest his Excellence President Mnangagwa,” said the Minister of Presidency, Ms Esther Mbayo.

The announcement was made at the Uganda Media Center today. This follows a visit by the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni,  earlier this year when he officially opened the 60th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo.
