In a statement to State media, Director Defence Public Relations Colonel Overson Mugwisi said Colonel Shoko died on Monday this week in Malaysia after a short illness.

At independence, he was integrated into the Zimbabwe National Army, where he had an illustrious career.

He served with One Commando Regiment before holding key appointments with other ZNA establishments.
