“Took a drive around the constituency late afternoon today. People are running out of essentials especially vegetables which ordinarily are bought at the market on a daily basis,” he said.
“The market is closed. More worrisome is that the few who are selling vegetables in their yards are not taking mobile money, the consumers have no cash since banks are closed.”
He said those dependent on diaspora receipts can’t access money from Western Union or world remittance.
“Chances of an increase in house breaking are high as people resort to criminal activities in search of food. We are deep in a crisis on day4 of lockdown,” he said.
