MDC Treasurer General David Coltart had dismissed reports that MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa is involved in a fight with a fight with his Deputy Tendai Biti.
A social media user had posted on Twitter that, “The rift between Tendai Biti & Nelson Chamisa is widening further. Chamisa can no longer trust Biti after the later indicated intention to contest for Presidency in 2023 & total control of @mdczimbabwe. Chamisa has instead, shifted trust to his deputy @Welshman_Ncube #Zimbabwe.”
The statement prompted Coltart to respond saying, “What sheer unadulterated nonsense this is – this is a routine rotation and nothing should be read into it. On other matters I have spoken to Chamisa, Ncube and Biti this morning. We are a coordinated and united team, working together to bring democracy and freedom to Zimbabwe.”

The matter began after Chamisa’s Spokesperson released a statement on Monday informing the nation that Professor Welshman Ncube is taking over as the Acting President of MDC Alliance.
