Zuma to meet Mnangagwa for the first time as president

JOHANNESBURG – President Jacob Zuma will on Thursday meet Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa for the first time since Mngangagwa became president.

Mnangagwa is on his first state visit to since his inauguration back in November.

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa is embarking on his first state visit and South Africa will be his first stop. He will hold talks with President Jacob Zuma in Pretoria.

The two Presidents are expected to discuss regional and continental development issues, as well as seek to strengthen bilateral ties. Zimbabwe is one of South Africa’s top five trade partners on the continent.

The Zimbabwean leader is also expected to address a high profile business conference.
