Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder Walter Magaya has agreed to bear all the costs for the 4 teams which will be involved in the President’s Cup.

The Zimbabwe Warriors will play Zambia’s Chipolopolo in a friendly match on the 23rd of December. The match will be played at the National Sports Stadium to celebrate the country’s new President, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

Zimbabwe and South Africa’s football legends will provide pre-match entertainment as the curtain raisers. Magaya signed a deal with the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) in which he will foot all the costs.

Said Magaya:

I have been approached by ZIFA to help them with the accommodation, transport, food and other logistics and I agreed as a long-term partner of the association. I feel humbled that ZIFA have come to me to assist in celebrating the coming in of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Zifa President Phillip Chiyangwa added:

As the flagship sport in the country as ZIFA, we believe football should take the leading role in supporting the new dispensation and we are very grateful to the prophet for agreeing to come on board and partner us once again.
