After going for months without releasing a hit material, the controversial self-proclaimed ghetto youths mouthpiece Soul Jah Love of the Pamamonya Ipapo fame, has bounced back with a smash track, Garwe, which endorses the country’s new president Comrade Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

The musical creative piece which is based on the current political events which unfolded soon after the Zimbabwe Defence Forces exercised its “Operation Restore Order” approves the change and encourages the masses to trust the new system of governance.

The chorus which has phrases like “Topemberera kutonga kweGarwe, raita kuti munyika mufarwe, vana vadzoke nyika yedu igarwe”, which translates to“We celebrate the reign of the new president, because he made the whole country happy, those out of the country should come back and re-build the nation,” reassures fellow countrymen to work together and revive the country’s economy.

The comic dancehall chanter, also recognised the pivotal role played by the army in eliminating the criminals from the previous cabinet with witty lyrics used to attack one of the Generation 40 members, former Minister of Finance Mr Ignatius Chombo who is facing a number of fraud charges dating as far back as 20 years ago.

Based on direct beef between Jah Luv and former Zanu-PF Youth League leader Kudzanai Chipanga which erupted when Chipanga publicly humiliated the Magetsi hitmaker labelling him undisciplined when he removed his costume while performing at one of the ruling party’s interface rallies, contains rather some personal harsh lyrics which obviously are revenge based on Chipanga’s previous harsh treatment of Jah Luv.

Asked what inspired the creativity of the track, the former street kid, from the dusty streets of Mbare said he just wrote the song to honour President Mnangagwa.

“Our President is a good man, we must give him a chance to lead us because he is the change that the whole country wanted. Every Zimbabwean was tired of the corrupt former top officials who were busy pillaging the Government resources at the people’s expense, but our army has restored peace and order, they also deserve honour,” said Jah Love. – B-Metro
