Zimbabwe Court dismiss EcoCash interdict on marauding agents

The High Court has on Tuesday dismissed an application by EcoCash which sought the court’s order to restore over a thousand agent lines that were terminated at the instigation of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe for suspected illegal forex trading.

Chinamora J ruled EcoCash had no standing to litigate on behalf of its agents adding that the central bank’s actions were lawful therefore the court cannot interdict a lawful act.
