Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Retired Lieutenant General Dr Sibusiso Moyo has welcomed the SADC Observer Mission to the 2018 harmonised elections as an important organisation in supporting Zimbabwe’s processes.

The Observer Mission has 63 members led by Mr Tete Antonio and will deploy observers in all the country’s 10 provinces on a long term.

Dr Moyo reiterated President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s wish for free, fair, credible and violence free elections saying the observers are free to move around the country and witness the process.

A preliminary team was deployed earlier in mid March and pronounced the environment as conducive.
