Zimbabwean soldiers caught in the act

HARARE - The embattled Zimbabwean strongman, Robert Mugabe ordered the chilling execution of 16 rioting soldiers in a cold blood murder carried out by members of the Presidential Guard death squads at its PG HQ Base in Dzivarasekwa, North West of the Capital. Three others died during torture, we can reveal.

The callous act has been communicated to all members of the armed forces as a chilling warning by the paranoid regime.

Last night, a fast track military court martial at Army Head Quarters’ KG6 Barracks was presided over by the retired High court judge Major General George Chiweshe, sitting with three other assessors, two Majors and a Captain. They passed death sentences to the 16 soldiers and it was signed by Robert Mugabe just before midnight and excecutions were carried out around 4 am in the presents of a military Doctor and the victim's bodies were taken to unknown destination.

It is not known whether relatives of the victims have been informed.

Major General Chiweshe is the current Chairman of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, and prior to his appointment to the High Court bench he was the Director Army Legal Services (DLS).

The 16 soldiers executed on Tuesday morning are believed to have been arrested during the skirmished with police in the last few days.

It is also reported that three other soldiers died during torture.

The line of the Zimbabwe regime’s propaganda says the soldiers beat up and arrested illegal foreign currency traders in the streets of Harare on Monday, accusing them of causing severe cash shortages, but our source can revealed that this is all part on the power struggles within Zanu PF.

“They are all fighting for resources to take control, and how would they (soldiers) feel when they see commanders driving Q7s, yet they can’t access their salaries in the banks” said one source. Foreign currency dealers at Road Port are believed to be Zanu PF militia working for the country’s Central Bank to finance party activities against internal Zanu PF factions.

At the Reserve Bank, former police Commissioner Henry Mukurazhizha is in charge of the clandestine foreign currency operations with the assistance of CIO officers stationed at Atlas House, along Samora Macheal House and some members of the police force.

Soldiers clashed with dealers after the armed forces began rounding up currency traders in the capital, after ordered to do so by certain Senior Army officers believed to be aligned to retired General Solomon Mujuru in the Zanu PF power struggles.

Police were called to break up the clash, which degenerated into a looting binge in several shops, in which soldiers were accused of participating.

The army and police refused to immediately comment.

Black market foreign currency peddling has become rampant in Zimbabwe as the country battles food and chronic currency shortages with inflation at a staggering 231-million percent.

Currency restrictions have led to long queues outside banks, with some depositors sleeping on the streets just to be at the front.

While the currency, once on a par with the British pound, is in freefall, unemployment is a staggering 80 percent.

In September, the reserve bank licensed some shops to sell goods in foreign currency in a bid to curb the burgeoning black market in basic commodities.

Zimbabwe is also facing a cholera epidemic which has killed more than 400 people.

These are the cowardly actions of desperate men, who have very little time left in power. The executions will make a very angry army go beserk, and it would not surprise me if the Zanu PF so-called leaders will be running in all directions with their tails between their legs.

Nyasha, have you been brainwashed or just a psychopath by birth? Nobody deserves an unfair trial and execution at the whim of some old dog like Chiweshe.

Nyasha is a true example of why Zimbabwe is where it is today. Naive, stupid, blind and selfish. As the rest of the people who still think Zanu PF is going to ever develop Zimbabweans

What a load of nonsense! Mugabe was not even in the country on Monday, the day you report that he signed the death warrants. The soldiers were from Cranborne Barraks in Harare and I know three of them. They are free, they are walking around and I was with one of them today.
I read Magora's blog and he has inside sources telling him this was a ruse to give Mugabe an excuse to declare a state of emergency. This is borne out by the fact that these guys are still walking freely!!!
My god! Either you cooked up this story or you were misled by a person who doesn't know the first thing about what is happening. Hoe could Mugabe sign a death warrant when he was in the middle east? Did you not read the news?

Please verify your stories first. You would rather wait for MDC leaders to mention something or verify with them before publishing sensitive issues like this. While Mugabe is a bad and evil leader, it does not mean that he should be accused falsely. If such stories are proved wrong, it might end up looking like the press , such as this one, has always lied about Mugabe b4.Please note am not saying this story is not true, it cuold be true, but not factual.

Mr. Munya, the only fact you found inaccurate is Mugabe's presence on the night. Can you shed light on the rest of story? To me this can be classified as a first hand information report. The way the writer explains it and the names given here-everything falls into place. People like Munya are not used to having such information leaked. This probably has happened in the army before, but I have never read such a chilling account of events. Pamberi nekubvisa MUGABE.

Munya and Nyasha obviously do not use the loo much, considering all the sh#! that comes out of their mouths.Be human and consider other people's lives.

Munya suffers from verbal diarrhoea. His english and spellings are so bad and tyipical of what we expect from Sikhanyiso Ndlovu. I have little doubt that he is a green bomber or something of that sort. He thives od denial and people like him underpin the survival of the regime in Zimbabwe.Mugabe's badness needs people like him as its host.

People, this is so sad. And if there is anything i have learnt about Zim its that whatever rumour circulates, there is always some truth to it. And mind you a president does not need to physically sign a document for you to be executed. He can give a verbal instruction and the stand in president (acting president) can sign on his behalf. I pray this story is not true yet my better judgement tells me it probably is. Its so wrong to have to make democratic decisions based on nothing but fear...

It is no one's duty to determine when another human being dies. That is purely God's duty and those who think can replace God will face it when the time comes. For the Zanu Pf thugs the time is so close, this is indicated by today' events. Its so close that some of us with powerful senses can smell it.

Frankly, I don't care if it's true or not. You guys are just looking more and more stupid on a daily basis. I truly never thought I'd see the day when a 'major' African government would make governance in Nigeria look coherent. But if the U.S. can elect Obama, then someone else can make Nigeria look good.
Whatever next...!?

p.s. Nyasha (like that name, I like nyash alot), is your dad a minister in the Zim government or something?
