Mutumwa Mawere

OPINION - Please help us correct Mawere`s perceived ambitions of the l know it all mentality. Who ever told him that he has authority over events in Harare misdirected this gentlemen`s perception.

There are rumours that President Mugabe's Spokesman George Charamba is the one who doctored the changes to the ICT Ministry, that is as false as the wide spread rumours that Mawere was victimised by ZANU PF in Zimbabwe. The problem with Mawere is the entitlement mentality, that he thinks he is entitled to everything that has come with the affirmative action, since he was one of the guys who authored foudations of the whole genesis of the affirmative action with some hands off approach...

This New Culture of victimisation is coming at the wrong time. Mawere has to start again, if he is to be taken seriously. Let him not pretend to know everything, but write his opinion not to have any authority over what he is not privillidged.

Mawere also pointed that the appointment of Dr Joseph Made, was a first sign to all reform minded to expect less from the inclusive Government. This is also as false as he misrepresented himself that he once owned Mashaba Mine or the fact that he is the brains behind the establishemnt of First Banking Corporation in Harare and in Kinshasa DRC.

Let us not look at people like Mr. Mawere and see Gold, yes, he made his money and only himself knows what he is worth, this is not public information.

He lost a Night Club in Johanesburg the same way he lost Mashaba Mine, the fact that it happened to him in Harare that does not mean to say that in South Africa it is all rose for him.

Mawere should be stopped from representing the Complainers`s club until proven innocent...

Let Mawere fly back if he knows that he is clean and be like Julias Mushore, the banker and David Butau who recently flew back into Zimbabwe.

Mawere told the Media that he was victimised because he refused to join ZANP PF, but if you look at the way he likes politics, even fools could be convinced that he is not a ZANU PF member.

Mawere is a ZANU PF Card carrying member , Born from a ZANU PF family and got Government Guarantees from a ZANU PF Government to establish his empire in the Region.....and the Guarantees he used to acquire Mashaba Mines were provided by a ZANU PF Government. Signed by President Mugabe who questioned his sincererity during the same period.....

Mawere had direct links to President Mugabe until, he was asked a few personal questions about his personal life , and he sensed the danger and he fled the country, and the reasons are known to himself, why he chidded from the promise he had made to the President....

These people must be quiet where ever they are, and if they wish President Mugabe dead they are wasting time, because, only God will take him......

Dr. Joseph Made is a technocrat, not Dr.Nkosana Moyo or Mawere. What impact has Mawere made in life, apart from just talking about attachements at World Bank , IMF etc. just like Nkosana Moyo...

You need to research about this man, Dr Joseph Made if you want to know what type of a breed he is.. we are not talking about people who are the darling of the microphone for no good reason. Lets talk substance gentlemen...

Dr Made fell out of favaour with the Media because of the Land Reform , not because he is not qualified in his field of speciality....

If you look at the Ministry of Agriculture, it has nothing to do with Land ownership or reform thereof. Whether the Land was acquired properly, improperly or is leased, Dr.Made is only in charge of the production not the land ownership, this is a sign to show that, it was not just by accident....

Visit farms now if you want to know what we are talking about, Mawere must stop talking about Zimbabwe like he visit there regulary. Not all farmers are producing that is correct, but that is a different Ministry that will handle that since , it will be a dispute....

Mawere knows everything and he should apply for land to farm. In South Africa we read recently there are farms that are under utilised, because they are failing to get people to take those farms, Mawere can make a fortune from the idle land...

How can someone who proclaim to be highly educated compare Nelson Chamisa and Dr. Joseph Made.

Mawere comes from the same rural home with Nelson Chamisa Gutu, and Zaka are one and the same thing, when we look on the tribal balance.

Ask people in the Government Circles about Dr Made, once you know his background, then you will not talk or write trash at any give opportunity.

President Mugabe has lined up people with Substance in this new Government, people who can equally square up at any given assignment...

Dr. Made did not come back to Zimbabwe because he had no job, but he had to come to Zimbabwe to save the Agriculture sector which was on the transformation rollercoaster. Look back at his good days at ARDA...

Yes, you can point at the negative publicity that characterised the Land Reform program, and victimise him because of that, but the truth is, you know from deep down, that without people like Dr.Made. Our National Basket will not be restored on time.

You think the President is a fool like you to sacrifice people like Dr.Made, the only best advice the President took was to drop your name from the list of people to appointed the Reserve Bank Governor....of Zimbabwe, and took Dr.Gono.

Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangiarayi has his powers as the Prime Minister, slightly more than what most Prime Minister in the world has.and of course more than what Mawere has in South Africa..

Inas much as you have your own influence elsewhere, Zimbabwe will emergy from the the economic down turn with out without Mawere.

The only powers that he does not posses is the power to instruct Minister Biti to get involved in the fight between, ZANU PF and Mawere.

What a shame, Mr/Ms ''Zimbabwe Mail Reader'' & ''Pablo'' - wasting so much energy on a totally misguided diatribe all in the name of supporting a totally lost cause - ZANU PF! I have my own reservations about Mutumwa Mawere but the author of this article is really a ''dyed-in-the-wool'' ZANU zealot.

It sounds like the author went into hibernation in 2002 at the height of Jonathan Moyo's ''Rambayi Makashinga'' jingles showing fake lush green fields & upon waking up he sees all green grass around him during this rainy season and he thinks its all maize.

Has he stopped to think why so many people died of cholera, so many people need food aid (from outside Zim not GMB), why hospitals & schools have collapsed, why we have lost our ''sovereignty'' & embraced the Rand & US Dollar and he still has the temerity to praise ''Bumper Harvest'' Made, Gono and their handler Mugabe.
Please go back into hibernation, you could save yourself a lot of delusions.

The Mail Reader's failure to clearly articulate Made's achievements betrays his lost cause. We should never forget that Zimbabwe was ruined by some of the most educated people on the African continent. To that end, the background of some has little do with their ability to become an outstanding practictioner.

The writer suffers from a serious aversion of truth. How can he associate Made with any degree of success at Arda? He destroyed all the good things that his predecessor, Dr Liberty Mhlanga had done in that organisation. Made is synonmous with failure, incompetence, corruption and greed. The writer deludes himself by trying to divorce Made from the country,s dismal agricultural production. Was not the one who presided over the crumpling of this once flourishing vital cog of the economy? Was it not he who disgraced himself by attributing the poor harvests to a monkey whuch allegedly caused a transformer to blow up? Mr editor we need serious opinion articles that can offer incisive comments and arguments into the causes of the collapse of our country, rather than reduce your paper into a cheerleading forum for people who are at the heart of our problems. No amount of PR by Made is going to make the people warm up to him and embrace him and in the process suffer from a serious memory loss about the damage that he wrought to our country through his ineptitude, corrupt practices and the need to ingratiate himself to the emperor which led him to abdicate his ministerial responsibilities.

Fredom 71, l think you did not read this article properly. Avoid emotions when you are confronted with facts. Dr. Mhlanga and Dr Made. Were part of the successful team at ARDA..

What followed was a national program that needed progressive minds, and what we saw was a disaster as result of the first 6years of the Land Reform, until they decided to come up with a Mechanisation Depart, that was solely responsible for Mechanizing all equipment on all farms...

You can dislike Dr. Made and Dr .Gono, but they deserve a credit. again you will not agree, but this is a fact of life... those who are not farming like you will never see the light, everything is darkness....

l think dispite the fact that, you have only displayed your disapoval of the said Dr.Made... You must understand that there is no any amount of wits, that could have have survived the fight they had with the British Government over the Land Reform program...

Yes, you mentioned issues like Monkeys that will carry your day with shallow minded people...But if you look at the Machanization that followed, you can tell Dr.Made is technocrat...

You could not have expected the Country to produce anything with 1934 Tractors that were left on those farms, and the rest of the farmers were allowed to take their equipment, which was good, because it could have been a complicated issues if they had not taken their equipment...

You must Visit the farms and see the 240HP Tractors and Dual wheel Combine Harvesters from the USA, that are on the farms......

All Equipment manifacturers lined up to get a share of the market, and what they did is beyond your imagination.

l will agree if you can say that the Machanization did not cover all farmers, but those who are serious and have the capacity to produce have Tractors , and necessary equipment, including rural people with Ngoro ne Magejo....

Shallow minds like Mawere, will not be happy to hear that Dr.Gono approved the supply of these scotchcats and oxdrawn ploughs....

How can you develop the Commercial farms and neglect the Rural areas? Dr.Gono did not only mechanize through scotchcarts, take a look at the farms and you will like it.....said, if there were people were lost in the process, but what is happening on the ground is very much progressive, it will take positive minds to learn from all these fews years they have been on the farms, give it 5 more years, noone will compete with Zimbabwe on farming...

Cotton Production was never produced in the Commercial farms it was maining in the Rural areas, but we had a successful parastatal Cotco.....

Do not just see darkness on everything. Dr.Made yes, he was the most news maker because of the depth of his Ministry then. Food production, but we had a revolution, that had to affect everything on the ground......

Things will get better with time. since the GPA states that the Land Reform is not reversable.....

Dr.Made is not in charge of the Land, but production, go on the farms and see what they did...

Those who did not make it this year, next season they will learn and try farming early..

We will have many Farmers in SA soon and they will be competition to produce... Zimbabweans are never lazzy people.

Mawere had a farm as well, and when he tells the world that he was not a ZANU PF. and that only Dr. Made is not a reformist, then you have all the reason to question this man who seem to dislike all progressive Zimbabweans.

Mawere flew into Zimbabwe with no money, but with a briefcase and he wanted to turn stones into money, through playing with ZANU PF Guarantees to buy Business.

Now why does he parade as MDC member, he never cliam to belong to any part to the Media, but it is known that he used to attend all Mash West Provincial ZANU PF meetings, now you will wonder why he tells us he refused to join ZANU PF and yet , he was a regular at all these meetings with Kandinesi Paradza and Phidza.

Mawere, is known to take advantage when he is given audience with the wrong people. He claims to be Zimbabweans today and tommorrow he will be an American, the next week he is South Africa.

Ask him, why did he not tell the truth that the TV program he started immidiately after the 2000 watershed elections was being funded by the EU?

He featured Phillip and Robertson, and the one that did not go down well, was the one he brought in Chapfika and Hom.T Mashakada..

What a mess of a combination, Mashaka is an Econimist and David Chapfika ndisamutoko zvavo....this was an ill advised combination... and that was when people discovered that, he had an X to grind with some people...Chapfika was embarrassed, by failing to match up with Hon.Mashaka T.

Phillip Chiyangwa out performed Robertson the Economist, you may not believe this, but go to ZBC....and ask for the archived Video.

Mawere confronted, ZBC, and since he was a well known Businessman, they belived him... he just messed things up, because he did not acknowledge Sponsorship was being funded by EU.This had nothing to do with politics, but just acknowledging the role EU was doing inorder to bring Parliamentarians together to reduce hostilities that was on the ground.....

He failed or rather did not want to give Credit to the European Union. The man who had Doctored the project was Kindness Paradza. not Mawere...And the money was coming from European Union in Harare.

Forgive me for being thick, but can anyone who really understands Pablo Ndimwi's writing please expatiate? All I can decipher is mindless support of whoever is from ZANU at whatever cost.Is this not one of those people brainwashed by ZANU and given wealth for just being pig-headed ZANOIDS? Imagine what you'd get from people like him when given posts in government (and I am sure he has one). This is exactly why we are in the state we are in.God help us get rid of people with a mentality like his!

It,s unfortunate that we have people like PABLO who seem to have so much info yet so misguided by God knows what?If he had taken time to read the article obviously written by blind ZANU loyalist i could even think it was Charamba or someone silly like that. The writer conflicts himself in such a small article. He says Mawere did not own Mashaba Mine and later down the line he said Mawere used guarantees from Zanu PF to acquire Mashaba Mine. Now Mr WRITER which is which.???Secondly Mawere was never the owner of Kilimanjaro at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg now called The Venue so your facts are wrong you can check anyway with the registrar of companies in South Africa.I am amused by people who will choose to think that people like Gono and Made made significant progress for the people when in actual fact they are just enriching themselves.Have you ever wondered why Zimbabwe is the only country with the most exiled CEOs .Mugabe chooses to surround himself with fools who are ignorant, people like Muzenda who he made his deputy forever, people like Mutasa who thinks Mugabe is GOD.people like Jonathan Moyo who even when his own father was murdered by Gukurahundi he is back at Zanu PF,People like Tafataona Mahoso ,Nathan Shamuyarira the list is endless. All the tax payers and job creators like Vingirai,Masiyiwa,Mawere,Ncube and many others are in exile.Men who made a change in Zimbabwe economy, men with a vision for global change. It's sad that our fellow Zimbabweans will choose to defend such a brutal government which will hide behind the land reform to brutalize it's own people.I wonder if the writer knows that Zanu was given 44 million Pounds before 1990 for land reform by the British but never used the money for the intended purpose. It's time we Zimbabweans start looking at facts and stop pulling each other down for no reason.
